I added meta tags inside the head part of my site. This are keywords associated with my web page that could be typed in a search engine and will help me put my site up the search results.
Alt tags
I added the name of the website in most of the alt tags found on my web page, these will be read by the search engines when searches occur with those words
Google Analytics
This is a tool that helps you keep track of the trafic your website is attacting and the marketing techniques that are most effective.

Return On Investment This web pages is design to show to the world information about me, projects I am working on, things that have helped me as a web designer, and most important promote my work to potential employers.

So the investment that is being put into will of great results as I am able to show the knowledge I have acquired. The use of Web standards and SEO help put this web page within reach of those that are interested in me in a more reachable way.
